Hello From Bristol
Well where should one begin -- so much is happening or not happening these days
Well since it has been a while since I have written I guess I should explain all my adventures to this point in time. I have been living in Bristol since Sept 2006 and working to complete my MSc in Socio-Legal Studies.
However in December 2006 -- all the problems started -- I woke up on Boxing Day 2006 with chest pains that concerned me deeply, and with a family history not to healthy on heart issues, I decided to go to the A&E. I luckily was promptly treated and it was determined I did not have a Heart Attack or Chest Infection and was referred to my GP. At my GP we proceeded to disagnose acid reflux. With this diagnosis I was put on PPI pills and then it seemed to get worse so my pills were increased and I was refered to a GI specialist. The specialist ran many tests and during this prolonged period the end result was that the pills seemed to start effecting my memory and other major issues. However the wonderful, amazing NHS in all its glory did nothing and repeatedly tried to tell me I was depressed, had tension headaches, migraines, etc but in the end I proved them wrong after 8 months of my life they finally found a cyst in my brain.
With this knowledge I now seek to have my medical condition improved however at the NHS speed it would be most likely becoming incapacitated for an extended period of time -- so to fix this issue I will return to the US and seek medical treatment. Since it will take less than a month to fix these problems or at least know what is happening in the US. I also need to complete my dissertation -- which i am excited about and can not wait to complete and publish
I however am a little upset about having to leave the UK since it seems like I will be picking up sticks once again after meeting some wonderful individuals. But I have made a pretty good use of the time that I have left here in Bristol.
My parents may be coming to visit which will be nice since they have never visited me during the time I have been in the UK.
Well I will update more as the day continues
